Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad

Caritas Pakistan isa non-profitable development organization working in Pakistan since1965.It is registered with the joint stock Companies, Lahore(Pakistan)under societies Registeration act 1860.

It started as a relief Organization and has grown into a development organization and without regard to creed, race, gender or ethnicity. Caritas Pakistan has seven diocesan units all over Pakistn, ikn Faisalabad Rawalpinid , karachi Hyderabad,Multan , Queta and Lahore, with her national secretariat office in Lhaore. Caritas Pakistan is member of Caritas international, in Italy.

Brief History

Fr.Albert Noronha OP was the first Diocesan Director of Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad. Later, Fr.Bonnie Mendes was asked to assist him in 1968. after which,Bishop Cialeo O.P. Authorized Fr.Bonnie Mendes to take full charge as diocesan Direcot. In October 1978, the first Layman Mr.Peter Shahzad , was appointed as Diocesan Director, Later changed to Diocesan Executive secretary. In March, 2003.Mr.Anjum Gill took over as diocesan executive Secretary, and later in March 2007.Ms.Yasmine Joseph was appointed as the Diocesan Executive Secretary.
